I am starting this blog as a form of self-care. I will use this as a place to talk about my personal life, death, equality, mythology, my experiences/stories, grief, inspiration, LGBTQIA issues, travel, my goals/ aspirations, and anything that interests me at the time. Ship-Faced: 2018 Cruise to Cozumel and Progreso

Admittedly, it was dumb to start a blog right before going on a cruise, because it means I didn't post for a long time, but it is what it is. Anyway, I went on a 6-day cruise that left out of Galveston, TX and went to Cozumel, Mexico and Progreso, Yucatan. My mom, my roommate, and I all went on this cruise together which was awesome because we got to bond and have fun together. Plus, it was my mom's 45th birthday on 9/11 so we celebrated her birthday on the cruise. We left on Friday, Sept. 7th and drove down to Galveston from OKC. It took about 8 hours, but the drive really wasn't all that bad. We got to Galveston, checked into our hotel, and went to dinner at a place called "The Float" which was a bar that had a swimming pool in it. We had burgers which were pretty good then went for a walk along the seawall. We went in some shops, and Amber bought a snorkel set. My Family

I love my family and am so lucky to have them. To me, family is not defined by blood. I do not have many blood family members, but I have plenty of family that provide love, support, happiness, excitement, and laughter. These are the people who have been through so much with me. I would do anything for them. This is not an exhaustive list, but these are my closest family  members. Not Giving a F*CK!

I really connected with this Tedx Talk. As i've grown older and have been through some incredibly difficult situations, i've learned that some things just aren't worth my time and energy. Some people are also not worth my time and energy.. and that's okay. There is no reason to keep toxic people in your life, but it can be hard to let them go. I struggled to let go of toxic people because I didn't want to be seen as someone who just "throws people away" and I didn't want to let go of those who wanted to be a part of my life because I felt like no one else would want to come into my life and deal with my crazy. I also felt obligated to do a lot of things that I didn't want to do because others wanted me to, society wanted me to, or I felt like I should.
